Fast Facts
Loyola University New Orleans is a private, co-educational Catholic university located in the heart of the city. Loyola offers students a wide variety of academic programs, ranging from arts and sciences to business to music, all taught in the Jesuit tradition of educating the whole person. While students are challenged to seek personal excellence, they are also guided in their efforts, helped by Loyola’s “person-centered” learning community. Consistent with its Jesuit and Catholic heritage, Loyola strives to develop students into a new generation of leaders who possess a love for truth, the critical intelligence to pursue it and the courage to articulate it.
